Botulinum Toxins (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Juveau): Non-surgical treatment used in the prevention of fine lines and wrinkles. The medication (toxin) blocks the activity of the targeted muscles, reducing the muscle contraction that causes lines to form. Depending on how many areas of the face we are treating, the procedure takes about 10-15 minutes and does not typically require an anesthetic. A series of injections are made with a very small needle. Many people report little to no pain with injection. How long does it take to work? This depends on several factors that will be discussed during your consultation, but most people see results in 2-14 days depending on the type of botulinum toxin used. These toxins have numerous off-label uses including migraines, jaw slimming, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and pain management.

Dermal Fillers are nonsurgical cosmetic injections used to restore facial harmony by reducing or eliminating wrinkles, raise scar depressions, and enhance certain features by replacing volume loss in facial structures and lips. As we age (or with many life events such as sun exposure, weight loss, hormone changes, and pregnancy), our skin naturally loses collagen and hyaluronic acid. This causes a loss of volume and structure, leading to unwanted drooping, wrinkles, and folds. Dermal fillers provide renewed volume in trouble areas, leading to a more youthful appearance.
Depending on the areas of the face we are treating, the procedure takes about 30-45 minutes. Part of this time is allowing numbing cream to work so you will be as comfortable as possible during the procedure. A very small needle (or cannula) is used to inject dermal filler into problem areas. We also provide dental blocks for lip filler procedures to minimize discomfort in addition to topical numbing medicine. How long does it take to work: The great thing about dermal fillers is that you can see results almost immediately! At your consultation, we will discuss specifics on what to expect and when to expect the final result to settle in. Due to swelling (and unfortunately sometimes minor bruising), you can expect to see the final result in about 2-4 weeks. Most people experience only minor swelling.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) or Platelet Rich Plasma (PRF) are relatively new skin rejuvenation treatments that can have amazing results. This liquid gold, as it is often referred to, produces a high release of growth factors that stimulates tissue regeneration and growth simulation.PRP improves overall skin texture, decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and eyes, and can provide volume to hollowing areas such as tear trough grooves, cheeks and temples. PRP can also help smooth both acne and surgical scars. PRF injections work similarly to platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections, but provide longer-lasting results due to the way this treatment slowly releases growth factors over a period of time. PRP/PRF requires us to draw your blood, place it in a centrifuge to obtain the platelets and/or fibrin to use for the procedure. Please stay hydrated 24 hours in advance to your treatment. PRP/PRF facial rejuvenation takes roughly about 15 -60 minutes depending on the area you are treating. These injections generally are a series of treatments, spaced 6-8 weeks apart. Long term benefits, such as enhanced skin quality, collagen production and skin tightening may take up to 3-4 months to be noticed and can last from 6-12 months. - Under Eye Injections: PRP or more concentrated PRF, can be injected into the tear trough under the eye area in a series of 3 treatments. This will help decrease wrinkles and help tighten and the very delicate skin underneath the eyes to give a more youthful appearance.
- Scar Treatments: PRP/PRF is injected to diminish the appearance of scarring from acne, stretch marks, or surgical procedures. Scars from surgical procedures such as breast augmentation, tummy tuck, or knee replacements can dramatically be diminished. You may need a series of 3 to more treatments for optimal outcomes.
